Museum Collection

An editorial and print design project focused on developing a cohesive museum identity through catalog layouts, greeting cards, and supporting exhibition materials.

Overview

Creating a Cohesive Museum Identity

The Museum Collection project was developed around the exhibition
“ART TALK: Inclusion and Diversity Through an Art Conversation.”

The objective was to create a cohesive editorial and print identity that
communicates the exhibition’s theme while presenting information in a
clear, engaging, and visually structured format. The project included
the design of a museum catalog, greeting cards, and supporting print
materials that maintain consistency across every touchpoint.

By combining strong typography, modular grid systems, and thoughtful
composition, the publication guides readers through the exhibition while
celebrating artists from diverse cultural backgrounds in a professional
and accessible way.

DESIGN CHALLENGE

Design Challenge

The challenge was to transform a large amount of exhibition content into a clear, engaging, and
visually consistent publication. The final design needed to communicate the museum’s
theme while guiding visitors through information in an organized and memorable
way across multiple printed materials.

Organizing Museum Information

Present exhibition content, artist information, and supporting text in a structured layout that is easy to read while maintaining a logical flow throughout the publication.

02 ─────

Creating an Engaging Publication

Balance typography, imagery, and white space to create an editorial experience that captures visitors’ attention and encourages exploration of the exhibition.

03 ─────

Maintaining Visual Consistency

Develop a cohesive visual system that connects the museum catalog, greeting cards, and supporting print materials through consistent typography, color, and layout.

04 ─────

Designing Supporting Print Materials

Create complementary printed materials that reinforce the exhibition identity while remaining clear, professional, and suitable for museum visitors.

The success of the project depended on combining thoughtful editorial design with a consistent visual identity, ensuring every printed piece supported the museum experience.

CREATIVE PROCESS

From Research to Final Print

The Museum Collection project followed a structured editorial design workflow that transformed research and
exhibition content into a cohesive print experience. Each stage focused on organizing information, refining
layouts, and creating visually engaging materials that maintained
consistency across the entire collection.
STEP-01

Research

The project began by studying the exhibition theme, understanding the target audience, and gathering content that would communicate the museum’s story in a clear and engaging way.

STEP-02

Content Planning

Information was organized into a logical structure, allowing exhibition details, artwork, and supporting text to flow naturally throughout the publication while maintaining readability.

STEP-03

Editorial Layout

Typography, grid systems, imagery, and spacing were combined to create balanced page layouts that support both visual storytelling and effective information hierarchy.

STEP-04

Final Print

The completed layouts were refined into a consistent collection of print-ready materials, including the museum catalog, greeting cards, and presentation boards.

Strong brand experiences are created through thoughtful research, purposeful typography, and consistent visual design across every customer touchpoint.

FEATURED DELIVERABLE

Museum Catalog Design

The museum catalog serves as the primary publication for the exhibition, presenting artwork, artist information, and
exhibition content through a structured editorial layout. Careful attention was given to typography, grid systems,
and visual hierarchy to create a publication that is both informative and engaging.

Artwork and supporting visuals are positioned to complement the content while maintaining generous white space.

Editorial Hierarchy

Headings, images, captions, and body text are arranged to guide readers naturally from one section to the next.

the main publication. Each card reflects the visual language of the Museum Collection through
consistent typography, carefully selected imagery, and balanced editorial composition.

keepsakes inspired by the exhibition. While maintaining the same editorial design
principles, each card presents artwork in a compact format that is
suitable for display, gifting, or personal collections.
